As a community safety lawyer at Bressman Law, I embrace our firm’s warrior mentality – taking cases to trial when others back down. This fighting spirit stems from my background as a high school wrestling captain at Worthington Kilbourne High School and later wrestling coach at Dublin Karrer and Olentangy Orange Middle School, where I learned the importance of strategic positioning and relentless pursuit of justice.
Since joining Bressman Law in 2020, I’ve relentlessly pursued justice for families devastated by corporate negligence and safety rule violations. My warrior mentality has secured multiple seven-figure results, including $6.75 million for a worker whose life was forever changed by an industrial amputation, $1.75 million for a victim of a catastrophic three-vehicle collision, and maximum policy limits against entities who put profits over safety.
Now, I’m taking on even bigger battles against corporations who poison our communities. My practice focuses on holding accountable those who expose workers and families to dangerous chemicals, employers who deliberately violate worker safety rules and who fail to pay into the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (“Non-Complying Employers”), and parties responsible for preventable deaths. When safety rules are broken and lives are destroyed, I ensure the wrongdoers face consequences, and my clients receive the justice they deserve.
My unique path through radio broadcasting, both for a Top 40s Radio Station and as a play-by-play broadcaster for my undergrad, and communications degree developed crucial skills in connecting with people and thinking quickly under pressure – abilities I now deploy to protect injured clients. This foundation in effective communication helps me translate complex legal concepts into compelling narratives that resonate with juries.
My insider perspective from clerking for Judge Frederick D. Nelson at the 10th District Court of Appeals and serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the Health and Human Services Department gives me tactical advantages in navigating the system. I understand how courts think and operate, allowing me to anticipate and counter defense strategies.
At Ohio State’s Moritz College of Law, I honed my advocacy skills through the corporate law moot court team, reaching the final four. My research work in ethics and legislation provides added depth in analyzing safety rule violations and regulatory compliance issues.
Today, I leverage this diverse background to fight for injured clients using innovative trial techniques and the latest developments in trial advocacy. When safety rules are violated and people are harmed, I ensure the responsible parties are held accountable.
My wife and I live in Westerville, where we enjoy exploring local theatre and restaurants when I’m not in the courtroom fighting for justice. We have two daughters, Zipporah and Rivkah. I remain active in the wrestling community through Ohio State season tickets and donating to local high school wrestling programs, keeping that competitive fire burning.
